Apprentice Level Climbing Arborist & Bucket Operator
At Chop Nashville, we are looking to train up a 0-2 year experience Climbing Arborist and Bucket Operator who embraces our core values and is committed to excellence in every climb and operation.
Key Areas of Impact:
Safely and efficiently contribute to daily and weekly production goals by performing climbing and bucket operations as well as regular contribution to debris processing and cleanup as a team.
Take ownership as a team member of the morning preparations, ensuring all necessary tools—saws, climbing kits, ropes, and rigging—are packed and ready for the day's work.
Bring a growth mindset, offering ideas to improve safety, reduce the physical impact of the work, and boost team efficiency for higher production bonuses. (Weekly team meetings on Monday are a great opportunity for this!)
Requirements:
Interest and physical ability for tree climbing, rigging, felling, and bucket operations, with proficiency.
A current Drivers License
Ability to commit to a consistent schedule
Safe driving and operation of a bucket truck
Self-motivated and skilled, with a willingness to follow established processes.
Willingness to pursue ISA and CDL Certifications
Climbing Arborist and Bucket Ops. Level 1-2
Looking for a 1-2 year experienced Climbing Arborist and Bucket Operators who embraces our cores values and is committed to excellence in every climb and operation.
Key Areas of Impact:
Contribute to the teams daily and weekly production goals through safe and efficient completion of climbing work on site.
Support the team by taking responsibility for the hand tools and supplies needed for the day: Morning review of work orders and preparation and packing of tools such as saw, climbing kits, ropes and rigging.
Bring a growth mindset and offer ideas for 1) improving our safety and lowering the impact our work has on our bodies and 2) improving our efficiency to increase our production bonuses. (Note, weekly team meetings on Monday morning are a good time for this.)
Requirements
- Skillful and safe with core competencies in climbing, bucket operations, rigging, and felling
o Selection and utilization of both SRT and Double Rope especially
o When to climb with or without spikes
o Readiness for training to work with K-Boom and Stick Boomo Safe driving, setup, and operation of bucket truck
o Willingness to pursue ISA and CDL Certifications
- Self-motivated and capable but a willingness to adhere to existing structure
o Hope assessment
o Chainsaw one handing procedure
- Pruning to ISA guidelines with reliance the work order descriptions
